4.0.x Compatibility Status

All addons have been updated and are working with 4.0.x except for Arena Unit Frames. If I missed something, feel free to contact me using the form on the contact page. It is quite painless as you don't need to sign up or anything, just type in your concern and click submit. AUF will be updated as soon as I can get inside the arena to test it. Sadly skirmishes are down and I know of nobody in the beta with me.

I also removed Autojoin, Autoinvite, and ToTAnnounce as they are sort of obsolete. (I certainly have not used them since 2005) Autojoin apparently broke in 3.1 and I don't feel like maintaining what nobody uses. If anybody does actually use and wants any of them fixed, feel free to let me know.

Some addons got new features while I was fixing them. Here are some notable additions:

  • Tweaks: Due to a request, Tweaks is all fixed up and everything should be working. The obsolete features were of course removed
  • Market Watcher: added an option to ignore graphing auctions with extreme buyouts
  • Market Watcher: alt + click will now add items to the watched list when in the history tab
  • Market Watcher: alt + click will now scan items when on the scan tab
  • Market Watcher: you may now graph by 2 months, 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year
  • Improved World Defense: Should no longer block non "is under attack!" messages
  • Honor Kills Counter: lifetime kill tracking removed as it was pretty much a waste of memory (albeit not much)
  • BG Healer: Distance to the target should now work in most outdoor zones. I couldn't get that functionality to work in any battleground added after EotS because I simply cannot enter those battlegrounds currently because random always gives me WSG, AB, or EotS (almost always WSG) and I need to enter the battlegrounds in order to get certain information to make target distances work
  • BG Healer: HoT unit frame highlighting should be accurate now
  • New addon: Hunter Range Finder. A very small addon I wrote and used for years but never posted. It simply puts the approximate distance to the target above your target frame if you are a hunter. Sadly I quit playing my hunter due to the new steady shot mechanic being super lame but somebody might like this

Preform, Market Watcher, AUF Updated

Preform, Market Watcher, and AUF were just updated. These are mostly maintenance releases as I am no longer actively playing the game. (indeed I had to resub just to fix these. Feel free to donate! :) Preform broke in the 3.3.3 patch due to the new random battelground system. (which also removed the need of the addon as far as I can tell, since random BGs killed non-random BGs) Market Watcher's quick sell duration was fixed as Blizzard changed the auction sell API function in the 3.3.3 patch.

Arena Unit Frames did get some minor new features. The background color is now selectable, and opacity sliders were enabled for all colors. Trinket cooldown indicators/alerts now trigger on use of the human racial. (this is more of a bug fix/oversight though. sorry) A new option to always display the hp/mana text over unit status bars was added. The status bar graphic was replaced with the default minimalist graphic due to the WoW client not stretching images as the latest patch seems to be bugged in that regard. Also, the defaults button will now function for this addon on the config panel.

New Host; No More CMS

This site now has a new host. My old host was pretty much overkill for this site and so was a waste of money. This site is now hosted by 000webhost.com, which is actually a free web host. (figured I'd plug them since they are hosting me for nothing) I've yet to find a web provider that didn't end up disappointing me in some way, so we'll have to see how these guys work out. So far they seem good.

I dumped my old CMS (content management system) with the move. Drupal was overkill for my site and it was obnoxious to update, so I'm going old school and editing the page's HTML directly. It won't be quite as snazzy, but then everybody gets my stuff from curse anyway. At least pages will load super fast this way.

The contact page will (eventually) have a way to contact me without needing to log in as well. No more hassle.
